Celumex arrives in the Estado de Mexico

With an investment of
700 million pesos and the generation of 300 jobs, the paper plant Celumex in
Huehuetica, Estado de Mexico was open with a capability of processing 90 daily
tons of disposable paper products.
Celumex is an example of commitment with innovation, sustainable development and environmental protection, since it has position as a company leader in the paper industry, sector that nationally, has an estimated value of 13 billion dollars and that generated more than 250 thousand jobs in the country only in 2016.
The event was attended by the governor from Estado de Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo, who said that: “Thanks to the Celumex investment of more than 700 million pesos, more than 300 jobs will be generated in this region of our State and that moreover it will surely bring more opportunities to suppliers of this company and for other industries developing on this industrial corridor. We would like the Estado de Mexico to continue being a source of confidence, stability, legal certainty and development opportunities for families and companies settling in our State,” he emphasized.
Estado de Mexico is a suitable region for investments due to its highly qualified workforce, wide infrastructure and connectivity. The entity together with Mexico City, make this region the largest consumption market in our country, with more than 20 million inhabitants in this region.
Meanwhile, Hugo Salinas, president of Tiendas Neto and executive vice-president of Grupo Salinas, said that the investment is an example of the commitment they have with Huehuetoca. “This plant will produce 90 daily tons of disposable paper products, always with the responsibility of being a clean industry.”
The secretary of Economic Development, Enrique Jacob Rocha considered that the opening of this paper plant constitutes the materialization of a collective effort among authorities, businessmen and workers.
He added that the office on his charge has the mission of providing investors the facilities to settle in Estado de Mexico, as doing this generates better conditions for investment caption and create more jobs.
