Cargill opens new production line in Hidalgo

Cargill opened their new production line representing an investment of 320 million pesos, with a production capability of 22 thousand bottles of 0.9 liters per hour.
For this expansion was required the building of an industrial building, with technology to generate higher efficiency and productivity, in addition of the creation of 50 jobs.
Marcelo Martins, president of Cargill Mexico, said that the company has 22 years settled in Hidalgo, and its only objective is to satisfy food industry requirements in the country. He also underlined the company is positioned as number one in oil production in the state.
Jose Luis Romo, secretary of Economic Development in Hidalgo, said that Cargill, is a success story, as they are part of the investments helping the country grow, mainly this company with more than 1,700 employees.
At the event he highlighted that they are looking to turn Hidalgo into the country’s economic destination.
“When this government began, we had the goal of bringing 10 thousand million pesos per year, practically 3 times more than was attracted on average; and so it is, within 30 months we have broken all records in state’s history, as nationally we have accumulated 50 thousand million pesos,” said the secretary. And ended saying that this kind of investments are generated thanks to a shared vision between businessmen and government, which translates in jobs and opportunities for people.
Cargill was established in Mexico in 1972, it is currently present in 22 sites on 12 entities of the country.
The Tula – Atitalaquia plant fulfills the process of soy, oil refining and grease, corn and corn flour.
