The Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC) participated in a new commercial mission in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, through the Matamoros Economic Development Committee (CODEM).

Bret Gardella, CEO of GBIC, along with Jerry Briones, Deputy Executive Director of GBIC, and Eleazar Rodriguez, Director of Project Development and Industrial Parks at GBIC, toured the main industrial parks in the Mexican city and met with David García, President of CODEM, and René Xavier González, Secretary of CODEM.

Gardella and García emphasized the mutual interest in promoting coordination to attract new investments on both sides of the border, generate new jobs, and contribute to the development of infrastructure and increased connectivity.

One of the companies that GBIC visited in Matamoros was GD International, where various automotive manufacturing parts are produced, with steering wheel coverings being a central aspect, and where business leaders observed manufacturing and design processes.

GBIC's commitment to the economic development of the region strengthens with each commercial mission.

During this visit to Matamoros, discussions also revolved around collaboration in other strategic sectors such as technology and logistics, aiming to position themselves as attractive destinations for investors looking to expand between the border of Mexico and the United States.
