Bosch announces construction of a manufacturing plant for mobile applications and automation in Querétaro

With an investment of  4,300 million pesos, Bosch Rexroth will build a new plant in Querétaro for the production of components for mobile applications , as well as machinery for manufacturing automation.

The factory will be located in the Cantera Industrial Park, in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo, and is expected to start operations in 2023. In addition, it will have an area of ​​42,000 square meters. The project will mean the creation of more than 900 jobs . 

Greg Gumbs, president and general manager of Bosch Rexroth North America , stated that with the potential of the North American market in mobile hydraulics for machinery, and for this, they will produce components such as hydraulic pumps. In addition, this investment will allow them to better serve customers in the region. 

"We are becoming more flexible in dealing with customer inquiries, expanding our portfolio in the areas of prototyping, customization and service, and will be able to develop a stronger regional supply chain.

The new Rexroth  plant joins the series of investment announcements made by Bosch Mexico in recent months. The company has announced accumulated investments in the country for about 15,000 million pesos between expansions in the regions of Querétaro and Aguascalientes, as well as a new production site in Nuevo León.

René Schlegel, president of Bosch Mexico , explained that the organization will be one of the first companies in Mexico with a capital goods manufacturing project, also strengthening the transformation towards industry 4.0. 

"This broadens our role in Mexico for key technological fields for the present and the future."

Bosch has 14 locations in Mexico between manufacturing sites, cooperative offices and development centers. An announcement was recently made for number 15 and number 16 will be installed in Querétaro, in an area of ​​40,000 square meters within the Cantera Industrial Park, in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo.

The company has announced accumulated investments in the country for about 15,000 million pesos between expansions (Querétaro and Aguascalientes) and new production sites (Nuevo León).
