BMTS Technology will invest $25 million to expand its Ramos Arizpe plant, increasing production capacity by 40%, enabling the company to assemble more than 2 million turbochargers per year.

With this project, BMTS Technology strengthens its presence in Mexico and reinforces its global growth within the automotive sector, stated Alberto Trejo Aguirre, Director of BMTS North America.

"Currently, our products are featured in General Motors platforms and the Ford Nano engine, which powers the F-150. Starting April 1, we will launch our most ambitious project yet: the production of turbochargers for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hybrid by Stellantis," he explained.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion will take place in February 2025 at the Vynmsa Industrial Park. Once operational, the project is expected to create 400 new direct jobs.

BMTS Technology, originally founded as a joint venture between Robert Bosch GmbH and MAHLE GmbH, has established itself as a key player in turbocharger manufacturing for the automotive industry.

The Ramos Arizpe plant has played a crucial role in producing components for global platforms, and with this expansion, it reaffirms its strategic importance in the region.
