Bloom Farms inaugurates its berry packing and cooling plant in Jalisco

Bloom Farms inaugurated its warehouse specialized in the packaging and cooling of berries in Tala, Jalisco, where it will be generating 3,057 direct jobs .
The company will have a direct point for the distribution of export feed , which this season will have the capacity to produce four million kilos of this feed .
During the unveiling of the plaque, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, Governor of Jalisco, assured that this company complies with a commitment in the region, since it previously opened its production plant in the north, generating jobs for the cultivation of blueberries.
"This region of Jalisco has a new productive vocation with protected crops, such as sunflower and chili seeds, where before there was nothing, where there were no opportunities, there were no prospects for development," he said.
He assured that the project comes to strengthen the economic structure of the Valles region, where the articulation of different projects, particularly of an agro-industrial nature, allow for a diversified strategy of economic growth”, he indicated.
Accompanied by Joanna Santillán, president of the Jalisco Government Volunteer Service, and Ana Lucia Camacho Sevilla, secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER), he explained how technology is currently used in sugarcane mills to make green harvests, in order to contribute with the decarbonization of the economy .
In the year 2021, the producers of the Valles Region and the twelve municipalities that comprise it were able to access the SADER programs , with the largest number of beneficiaries being the programs for Agricultural Producers, Vulnerable Groups, Agricultural Machinery, the Dairy Sector and the Aquaculture .
There were 310 producers supported with a total amount of 21.4 million pesos . Therefore, Jalisco is considered one of the main raspberry producers with 89,000 tons and first place in blueberry cultivation with 29,000 tons, as well as second place in blackberries with 8,000 tons .
