The groundbreaking ceremony for Becton Dickinson's (BD) new sterilization plant marked a significant investment of nearly $80 million, poised to boost industrial development in the border region.

Governor Maru Campos of Chihuahua emphasized the importance of this new plant in a statement, noting that it will create high-value jobs, adding to the over 1,300 employees currently part of BD in the state. "Today, Juárez is key to the country's economic consolidation," Campos stated, highlighting the city's attraction of $3 billion in investments during her administration. These efforts have resulted in significant educational growth at all levels through strategic alliances between the State Government, academia, and the business sector.
