BCS Automotive Interface Solutions arrives in Querétaro, with an investment of 1,200 million pesos

With an investment of 1,200 million pesos, the German capital firm BCS Automotive Interface Solutions will open in Querétaro a production plant for steering control modules and other high-tech electrical components for the automotive sector.
During the press conference for the investment announcement, Luis Carlos González Jiménez , executive director of strategy and transformation of the company, explained that the operation of the new Queretaro plant will begin in the second quarter of the year.
“We are very grateful to have the opportunity to invest and grow in Querétaro , favoring the state in the ideal place, for different reasons: the labor market, part of the logistical and transportation advantages, but one of the parts of which they must to be very, very proud and to continue with this work, is the security situation”, expressed the director.
González Jiménez announced that the project with which this location will start will be for the Tesla company. In addition, he said that this new manufacturing center will be located in the Querétaro Innovation Technology Park and will generate 836 direct jobs for the auto parts industry.
Automotive Interface Solutions has eight plants around the world, two of them in the US and four in Europe . While in Mexico it has a plant in Reynosa, Tamaulipas , which will be joined by the one in Querétaro.

Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero , Secretary of Sustainable Development of the state, indicated that the arrival of this company will strengthen the automotive offer, which is already robust in Querétaro and stands out for its specialization in the auto parts subsector .
He highlighted that in the 2021 automotive investment report, the entity was ranked fourth at the national level with the largest number of investments captured in this sector, last year.
Likewise, it reported that 50% of the exports that were registered in the first three quarters of 2021 were in the category of manufacturing transportation equipment , which includes not only automotive, but also aerospace.
With data from the Monthly Survey of the Manufacturing Industry , he added that, for the period from January to October 2021, the manufacture of transportation equipment accumulated 79,940 million pesos, which represents 26% more than what was reported in the same period. of 2020.
