With the goal of consolidating its leadership in the aerospace industry, the state of Baja California established strategic partnerships during the 2025 Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX). These efforts were led by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation through the ProBaja platform, in collaboration with the recently formed Baja California Aerospace and Space Cluster (CEA-BC).

The state currently hosts 94 aerospace companies, representing 21% of all firms in the sector nationwide. Baja California generates over 40,000 jobs in this industry, including engineers, technicians, and operators, and supports a robust supply chain made up of more than 339 companies.

A key moment during FAMEX was the meeting with the French Ambassador to Mexico, Delphine Borione, which strengthened the relationship between Baja California and France—a strategic player in the global aerospace industry. In addition, Baja California held meetings with executives from SAFRAN, the largest aerospace employer in Mexico, and Canadian company Meloche Group, which confirmed an upcoming visit to the state to explore investment opportunities.

The state also deepened ties with Arizona through the Arizona Commerce Authority, aiming to enhance binational cooperation in aerospace. Moreover, Baja California met with GE Aerospace to promote the development of local suppliers through ProBaja’s Capability Portfolio.

The state’s participation at FAMEX highlights its strategic alignment among anchor companies, suppliers, academic institutions, and public entities, fostering an environment of collective growth, professional development, and global visibility.
