Avery Dennison, a leader in smart label manufacturing, has inaugurated its new plant in Querétaro, Mexico, with an investment of over 3.5 billion pesos, creating 938 jobs.

From this site, located in the Finsa III Industrial Park in the northern part of Querétaro municipality, the company will produce inlays and labels using RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification). This is a unique identification system embedded in each product, allowing it to be uniquely tracked across the supply chain through an integrated circuit.

Roger Machado, Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain at Avery Dennison, explained that this is the group’s largest plant, covering an area equivalent to five football fields.

The facilities are located on a 50,000-square-meter plot, with 25,000 square meters of constructed space, featuring three planned shifts.

The complex integrates automation and artificial intelligence, making it a more efficient, agile, and flexible plant, enabling rapid production, real-time monitoring, and adaptation to customer needs. It combines advanced technology with human expertise to deliver high-quality products in a dynamic market.

Julie Vargas, Vice President and General Manager of Identification Solutions at Avery Dennison, emphasized that the company leads in innovation and has been a pioneer in RFID technology development for more than 20 years, with over 1,500 patents and a global capacity to support customers.

Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development, highlighted that from these facilities, Avery Dennison will serve Mexico, North America, Central and South America, as well as supply to the rest of the world.

Avery Dennison Corporation is a global company specializing in digital identification and materials science, offering a wide range of branding and information labeling solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce waste, promote sustainability, circularity, and transparency, and better connect brands with consumers.
