ATI to Invest US$80 Million in Chihuahua and Create More Than 230 Specialized Jobs

Chihuahua will receive a new investment for its aerospace industry with the arrival of ATI Forged Products, a company that will invest US$80 million to establish an operation in the state capital and create more than 230 highly specialized jobs, primarily for technicians and engineers. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the Mexico pavilion at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, one of the world’s most important events for the sector.

Farnborough Announcement Strengthens Chihuahua’s Aerospace Position

The investment was presented by Governor Maru Campos and ATI President and CEO Kimberly Fields during an event that also included Luis Lizcano, executive president of the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA). The project seeks to strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities and the development of specialized talent in Chihuahua, a state that holds a strategic position within Mexico’s aerospace sector.

ATI Invests in Specialized Talent and Local Suppliers

During the meeting, Maru Campos reiterated the State Government’s support for the growth of the aerospace industry and held discussions with Kimberly Fields regarding opportunities to strengthen the local supply chain, increase the participation of Chihuahua-based companies in ATI’s global operations, and expand the integration of specialized suppliers.

For her part, Kimberly Fields recognized the quality of Chihuahua’s talent and the support provided by the State Government to make ATI’s expansion in Mexico possible. She emphasized that the new operation will strengthen the company’s presence in one of the country’s most highly specialized aerospace regions.
