Asian Investment in Mexico: Sinbon Electronics Opens Plant in San Luis Potosí

With an investment of 27 million dollars and the creation of 700 jobs, Taiwanese company Sinbon Electronics Co., Ltd. has inaugurated its new plant in the Logistik industrial park in Villa de Reyes. The facility will manufacture cable harnesses and interconnection systems for the automotive and green energy sectors in the state.
The San Luis Potosí Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco) highlighted that this facility is the result of the state’s policy focused on promoting and facilitating conditions for national and foreign companies to choose San Luis Potosí as a destination to establish, expand, and consolidate operations.
During the opening ceremony, company executives expressed their enthusiasm for setting up operations in the region. Joseph Wang, CEO of Sinbon Electronics, and Mite Liarng, the company’s president, led a tour of the new facilities, accompanied by Salvador González Martínez, State Secretary of Economic Development; Gerardo Alfonso Rodríguez, Director of Economic Development of the Villa de Reyes municipality; Jesús Aguirre, President of Index San Luis Potosí; and other business representatives and leaders.
By establishing operations in San Luis Potosí, Sinbon Electronics joins the region’s growing industrial ecosystem, strengthening its position as a strategic destination for high-tech companies and contributing to the state’s economic and social development.
