American Industries expanded its role within Chihuahua’s aerospace ecosystem during the First 2026 Members Assembly of the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, where Sandra Malottky was formally appointed Chair of the Promotion Commission.
The appointment places American Industries at the center of one of the cluster’s key strategic efforts for the year: strengthening international visibility for Chihuahua’s aerospace industry and reinforcing the state’s positioning as a global manufacturing destination.
A Strategic Role in Aerospace Promotion
The Promotion Commission will serve as a central platform for advancing Chihuahua’s international outreach, supporting efforts to showcase the state’s industrial capabilities before investors, manufacturers, and aerospace stakeholders in Mexico and abroad.
With Sandra Malottky leading the commission, American Industries takes on a more active role in promoting Chihuahua as a competitive hub for aerospace manufacturing, supplier development, and specialized industrial expansion.
This leadership position also reflects the company’s continued alignment with initiatives that elevate the global projection of the state’s advanced manufacturing sectors.
Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster Sets 2026 Priorities
The assembly brought together member companies, government representatives, strategic partners, and academic leaders, underscoring the collaborative model that continues to support the state’s aerospace growth.
During the session, the cluster formally introduced its three working commissions for 2026:
- Promotion Commission, chaired by Sandra Malottky of American Industries Group
- Academic Commission, led by Ivan Ramirez of Bell
- Supply Chain Commission, chaired by Elfido Ramos of Safran
Together, these commissions will help drive the cluster’s priorities in international promotion, specialized talent development, and local supply chain expansion.
Building Global Visibility for Chihuahua’s Aerospace Industry
The meeting also included presentation of the 2026 aerospace industry outlook at both the state and national levels, with insights shared by FEMIA on sector trends, growth expectations, and emerging opportunities.
Cluster members reviewed the annual work plan, including national and international expos and forums where Chihuahua will participate as a delegation. These activities are designed to expand the state’s presence on key global aerospace platforms and support future business opportunities.
Additional discussion points included the upcoming revision of the AS9100 standard and updates on state and local incentive programs aimed at strengthening aerospace companies operating in Chihuahua.
American Industries and the Long-Term Growth of the Cluster
American Industries’ appointment to lead the Promotion Commission reinforces its commitment to supporting the long-term development of Chihuahua’s aerospace industry. As competition intensifies across global manufacturing destinations, coordinated promotion efforts are increasingly important for attracting investment, expanding supplier networks, and enhancing industry recognition.
Through this leadership role, the company contributes directly to the broader objective of positioning Chihuahua as one of Mexico’s most strategic aerospace hubs and a stronger participant in global value chains.
