Aguascalientes Unveils German Desk at Hannover Messe 2025
April 14, 2025
During Hannover Messe 2025, the world’s leading industrial trade fair held in Germany, the state of Aguascalientes presented its new platform: the German Desk—an initiative launched by the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science, and Technology (SEDECYT) of Aguascalientes.
“Germany has invested over $1.1 billion USD in our state since 1999, with more than $190 million USD recorded in 2024 alone. This relationship continues to grow stronger as we look forward to our participation in Hannover Messe 2025,” stated Esaú Garza de Vega, head of SEDECYT.
The German Desk was launched with the goal of strengthening economic relations between Germany and Aguascalientes, with a focus on boosting foreign direct investment (FDI), encouraging technology transfer, and generating job opportunities in the region.
The initiative is led by Cristiane Bitomsky, who serves as the representative of the platform. She will act as the direct liaison with German companies that are already operating or planning to establish operations in Aguascalientes, providing personalized support and promoting strategic partnerships.
The German Desk will collaborate closely with businesses, academic institutions, and government entities to facilitate the establishment and expansion of investment projects in key industries—creating an environment of innovation and sustainable growth.
