Adient Technotrim, a company specialized in the manufacturing of interior components for the automotive industry, particularly systems and upholstery for vehicle seats, announced the creation of 1,500 new jobs in the Central Region of Coahuila de Zaragoza as part of an investment of nearly MXN 200 million aimed at expanding its manufacturing operations. Automotive industry strengthens its expansion in Coahuila’s Central Region
The company’s expansion responds to the growing demand for automotive components and to Coahuila’s position as one of Mexico’s main manufacturing hubs. The state concentrates investments related to auto parts, assembly and specialized production linked to the export market toward the United States and Canada.
Manufacturing jobs drive Coahuila’s competitiveness
The creation of new jobs represents a boost for the regional economy, particularly in municipalities of the Central Region, where the automotive industry maintains a strong share of economic activity. The new positions will be related to manufacturing processes, technical operations and activities linked to industrial production.
The announcement also reinforces Coahuila’s continued industrial growth trend, as the state has attracted manufacturing investments due to factors such as logistics infrastructure, availability of specialized labor and proximity to the northern border. The automotive industry remains one of the state’s main economic drivers.
Adient Technotrim is part of the global automotive supplier base focused on the manufacturing of interiors and components for vehicles. Its expansion in Mexico comes in a context where North American supply chains continue to undergo regionalization processes derived from the USMCA and the growth of nearshoring.
The MXN 200 million investment will also have an indirect impact on suppliers, industrial services and commercial activities related to manufacturing operations. The growth of automotive plants and auto parts companies has increased demand for logistics services, transportation and specialized technical personnel in different regions of the country.
With this project, Coahuila de Zaragoza reinforces its position within northern Mexico’s automotive corridor, a region that concentrates investments linked to vehicle production, auto parts and advanced manufacturing for export to international markets.
