A3Sec has announced the opening of its Digital Security and Monitoring Center (CSVD) in Mexico, a facility that will operate as a regional hub for cybersecurity threat detection and incident response. The project begins with an investment of US$1 million, with plans to double that amount within the next three years.
Advanced Cybersecurity and Regional Operations
The cybersecurity firm identified Mexico as a strategic platform for Latin America, driven by nearshoring dynamics and the rapid digitalization of business operations.
“Our goal is to provide faster and more predictive operations, aimed at minimizing the business impact of a cyberattack,” said Javier López-Tello, CEO of A3Sec.
The new center will operate under an “Augmented SOC” model, built on automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence. Its technology infrastructure, supported by Cisco, will be strengthened by engineering teams from Evcon Group and A3Sec, who will deliver continuous monitoring and advanced event-correlation services for large corporations.
Open Architecture and Digital Resilience
López-Tello emphasized that the CSVD is designed to position cybersecurity as a core business function. Its model incorporates an open architecture and a value-based return-on-investment framework, enabling CISOs and corporate boards to assess the operational and financial impact of potential breaches.
The decision to expand operations in Mexico comes amid rising malicious cyber activity. According to the World Economic Forum, Mexico recorded 31 billion cybercrime attempts in the first half of 2024, underscoring the need for advanced digital resilience capabilities.
With the launch of the CSVD, A3Sec aims to strengthen its regional footprint and position Mexico as a technological hub for digital risk management across Latin America.
