15 million dollars were invested in Industry 4.0

Dassault Systems Mexico (DSM), through the Automotive Cluster of Estado de Mexico (CLAUTEdoMex) and in collaboration with ABB Mexico, will invest 15 million dollars in the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (UAEM) aiming to operate strategies for the development and skills certifications in favor of the human capital in areas that contribute strengthening of innovation and companies’ productivity from the automotive sector and educational institutions of the Estado de Mexico in areas of technological skills and industry 4.0.
The Project is called Innovation, Training and Transfer of Technological Knowledge of Industry 4.0 for the Automotive Sector, and includes the granting of 30 3DExperience Software licenses of Dassault Systems, at a cost of 50 thousand dollars each and an IRB 120 robot from the German company ABB, which will be settled at the Robotica Industrial laboratory inside the faculty of engineering at UAEM.
“In Mexico, the automotive industry development is very important since this sector has generated about 800 thousand direct and indirect jobs of which part are generated by the three automotive manufacturers located in our region,” said Dr. Maria Dolores Duran, director of the Faculty of Engineering.
Meanwhile, Gunther Barajas, vice-president DSM, reasserted the commitment the private sector has with education. “Dassault Systems Mexico expects the university and its beneficiaries have with the licenses the opportunity to improve national engineering and, why not, to see a 100 % automobile from EdoMex finished.”
3DExperience licenses will be installed in close dates and training will begin to professors of Design and Engineering careers.

knowledge of Industry 4.0; it means that the teaching community that implies
the promise of a new revolution that combines advanced production techniques
and operations with intelligent technologies that are being integrated into
organizations, people and assets.”
