Border Trade Alliance (BTA) was founded in 1986 in the United States as a non-profit organization. In 2001, it established its sister branch in Mexico, known as Alianza del Comercio Fronterizo, A.C. (BTA Mexico). The organization serves as a forum to address key issues affecting trade, transportation, roadways, and security, while advocating for policies and initiatives designed to improve border-related matters and trade relations between Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
BTA represents over 4.2 million public and private sector members, working systematically to propose and solve the challenges that hinder the healthy growth of the U.S.-Mexico border region. These challenges impact the competitiveness of foreign trade and the economies of both nations, and BTA is dedicated to fostering positive developments in this area.
