Weslaco, Texas – With an investment exceeding $18 million, the Weslaco Economic Development Corporation (Weslaco EDC) proudly inaugurated the state-of-the-art Mid Valley Industrial Park. Encompassing 122 acres along FM 1015 International Blvd and Mile 9 Sugarcane Dr, the industrial space offers lots ranging from 4 to 13 acres.
Steven Valdez, CEO of Weslaco EDC, highlighted during the opening ceremony that 30% of the land is already sold or under contract.
Competitive Advantages
"Even before its inauguration, this new industrial park proved highly attractive to industries. We've already sold spaces to companies, including Glazers and UPS, who found numerous competitive advantages in this location—from proximity to international bridges to easy access to highways and airports."
The development of Mid Valley Industrial Park included investments in public services such as electricity, water, drainage, and paving, ensuring spacious areas for commercial traffic, along with infrastructure tailored to the logistics sector.
"The logistics sector across South Texas will certainly have new options with this park. There are available lots for warehouses and distribution," emphasized Valdez.

Notable attendees included members of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (McAllen EDC) and the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (Harlingen EDC).
