The City of Eagle Pass is hosting the 4th Annual State of the Port Trade Summit.

The
City of Eagle Pass and the Port of Eagle Pass have announced the 4th Annual
State of the Port of Eagle Pass Trade Summit, scheduled to take place on May
23 at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade
This event will bring together
key players dedicated to driving the region's economic growth. Over the years,
the summit has gained significance, attracting over 400 attendees in its first
three editions.
This year's agenda includes
three insightful panels, covering topics ranging from the evolving landscape of
Texas trade to the future of Eagle Pass' industrial real estate, including “Texas: The New Center of U.S. Trade”, "Why trade matters, border technology"
and "The Future of Eagle Pass Vehicle Imports".
The event will commence with
opening remarks by Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson and from a state
official from Mexico, follow by a by a Q&A session with the audience
members.
A networking session will
provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with fellow guests, speakers,
and special guests. Sponsors will also host booths for guests to visit during
this period.
Speakers at the summit include
Ken Smith Ramos, former chief negotiator for Mexico (USMCA); Texas Secretary of
State Jane Nelson; Caroline Mays of the Texas Department of Transportation;
Armando Taboada from U.S. Customs and Border Protection; the Secretary of
Economy of Coahuila, Claudio Bres; Raquel Espinoza of Union Pacific; and Cesar
Isidro Muñoz of Constellation Brands.
Tickets are currently available for $75, with a reduced rate
