Pharr Economic Development Corporation Promotes Investment Opportunities in Mexico

The Economic Development Corporation of Pharr, Texas, showcased the city as an ideal destination for investments, industries, and the logistics sector from Mexico City through the Sinergias Pharr EDC event.

The event, attended by developers, entrepreneurs, educational leaders, business chambers, and authorities, featured various presentations addressing the city's competitive advantages.

These included the availability of industrial land, international connections, and a skilled workforce.

In addition to the participation of consultants, lawyers, customs agents, and other specialists guiding entrepreneurs before, during, and after their arrival in Pharr, personalized services were provided during their adaptation.

Building Confidence for Investment

In an interview with Mexico Industry, Lilvette Santos, Economic Business Development Director, explained that success stories were shared during the event, reinforcing confidence for investment. "We are always looking for ways to attract new investments to Pharr, and during Sinergias Pharr EDC, we added testimonials from entrepreneurs who are success stories in their projects, ranging from logistics sector transporters to real estate developers; the opportunities are truly diverse."

The promotion was conducted in partnership with the U.S Commercial Service and the American Chamber of Commerce Mexico.

Strengthening Commercial Relationships

The promotional events held by the Economic Development Corporation in Mexico also aim to strengthen the country's commercial relationship with the United States.

Educational offerings, workforce development, population characteristics, quality of life, and incentives offered to investors were among the highlighted aspects. Lilvette added, "We had more than 20 panelists who helped us promote Pharr. For us to be in Mexico attracting investments is essential because we are commercial partners. We also addressed strategies in response to nearshoring, with the central message that we are ready to handle and receive any project."
