Pacific Limited confirmed that it will invest more than 14,000 million dollars to build a gas pipeline and a liquefaction plant in Sonora .
To carry out this capital injection in this project, the company required studies on the impact on natural gas prices by allowing the export of fuel from facilities in Mexico.
Mexico Pacific Limited requested authorization to export liquefied natural gas to any country with which the United States currently has, or may in the future enter into, a free trade agreement that requires national treatment for trade in natural gas.
The company also seeks to sell gas to any country with which the United States does not have a free trade agreement that requires national treatment for natural gas trade.
In addition, it requested authorization for a term of 20 years from the date of the first export of the MPL Facility, or five years from the issuance of the requested authorization.
It should be remembered that, last year, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, announced that Pacific Limited would build its liquefaction plant in Puerto Libertad, with an investment of up to 2.5 billion dollars.
