New Era for Audi Mexico as Third-Generation Q5 Production Kicks Off

Audi Mexico has officially started global production of the third-generation Audi Q5 at its San José Chiapa plant in Puebla. This iconic model represents Audi’s commitment to quality, precision, and the passion embodied by Mexican talent.
During the launch ceremony, Audi Mexico’s Executive President, Tarek Mashhour, emphasized the dedication and effort of the plant’s employees, who have been trained over the years to manufacture premium, high-quality vehicles.
Audi’s Mexico plant, located in San José Chiapa at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level, is the highest-altitude facility within the Audi Group and the brand’s first on the American continent.
Since 2016, this facility has produced the Audi Q5. With this new version, Audi Mexico strengthens its standing in the global automotive sector, showcasing Mexico's capability on the international stage.
The arrival of the new Audi Q5 marks the beginning of an era of innovation and growth, where Audi Mexico aims to further its influence in the automotive industry by exporting quality and reliability worldwide.

Audi Q5 Production Figures
Since production began in Mexico in 2016, 1,229,421 units of the Audi Q5 have been manufactured, according to the Administrative Registry of the Automotive Industry for Light Vehicles (RAIAVL) from Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
