With the objective of promoting investment and highlighting the competitive advantages of the Rio South Texas region, the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) participated in the second McAllen/Reynosa FamTour , organized by the Council for the Economic Progress of South Texas (Costep, for its acronym in English), which was attended by businessmen, leaders and investors from Texas, the United States, Mexico and Europe.

During the McAllen/Reynosa FamTour, the current binational manufacturing and coordination dynamics were presented, with examples of economic growth and development in recent years.

The exercise was organized by Costep , a nonprofit organization that focuses on industry recruiting and workforce development for seven counties.

The participation of the business sector was extensive, hosting companies such as Tochi advisors LLC, Goldstone Consulting Group and Quest Site Solutions in McAllen and Reynosa.

Also representatives of Cantier, Nano Dimensions, Fumec, Nidec, Prologis, Grupo Río San Juan, Steelcase, Cinch and CE Aviation.

Special thanks were given at the meeting to co-host MEDC and to the economic development corporations Mission EDC, Pharr EDC, and Weslaco EDC for their presentations on Rio South's investment, growth, business expansion, and advantage communities. Texas.
