Kawasaki Opens New $200 Million Facility in Nuevo León for Off-Road Vehicles and Watercraft

Kawasaki Motors of Mexico has inaugurated a plant in Nuevo León with a $200 million investment focused on the production of off-road vehicles and watercraft.

The Japanese firm’s facility, located in Salinas Victoria, aims to reach a workforce of 1,500 employees by 2026. Among its production lines are the Jetski, Mula, and Mula Pro models.

In the last three years, Nuevo León has attracted a total of $68 billion in investment, generating 220,000 new jobs and 287 projects.

According to Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, the state has become a national leader in creating formal employment and launching new businesses, with ambitious growth projected for the remainder of his administration.

With Kawasaki’s arrival, this trend gains further momentum, aligning with the state's vision to attract large companies and strengthen its industrial ecosystem.

“We are confident that the best is yet to come for Kawasaki Motors Mexico. They are arriving at the best time and in one of the most dynamic municipalities in the best place to do business and invest,” he stated.

The inauguration was attended by senior Kawasaki executives, including Yasuhiko Hashimoto, President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.; Ito Hiroshi, President of Kawasaki Motors Corporation, and Nashi Kato, President of Kawasaki Motors de México.
