Industrial land and international connections offered by Pharr, Texas, to new investors

“The city of Pharr is prepared to attract new companies with nearshoring , one of our great advantages is the presence of specialized industrial parks, logistics corridors with immediate connection to Mexico through which various types of merchandise are moved, as well as labor. qualified, the land available for new constructions and the services from houses, hotels, hospitals, restaurants”, mentioned Perez. 

The advantages of investing here include incentives that facilitate the operations of the business sector, from its beginning to the hiring of labor, and are superior to others in Rio South Texas, highlighted the president and CEO of Pharr EDC . 

For this reason, there is a new project to strengthen advice to Pharr investors. "We are currently working with the city and universities so that all investors, not only from Canada, South America or Mexico, know in detail each investment process, we want them to have support at every step, from the search for land, the development of the project and, of course, legal compliance, which is an important issue”.

Recently, the EDC of Pharr , Texas, held the first business summit in Monterrey, Nuevo León, to promote investments against nearshoring . Perez stressed that the interest of authorities, leaders of civil associations and businessmen to learn about the advantages and industrial land prevailed, for which reason they are preparing new meetings in Mexico before the end of 2023. 

"The results were very satisfactory, we did not have a single empty chair, many questions about the available land, international access, warehouses, housing, it showed us the need to promote the economic development of Pharr, the message was based on trust to invest in the city”, emphasized the president. 

With the investment of the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge, the investment to be executed is 135 million dollars; Once the project is completed, it will offer new spaces for cargo transportation, customs and the logistics sector, by having more efficient connections.

In addition, the planning to have new industrial parks has been confirmed, as well as the guarantee that at least two companies will build cold and dry rooms in Pharr, which will meet the demand of international trade.
