Tijuana, Baja California, has officially started construction on the Frasa Otay Industrial Park, a state-of-the-art complex backed by an estimated investment of 700 million pesos. The project is a collaborative effort between the three levels of government and the private sector—a proven model in similar initiatives.
Spanning 60 hectares, the park will include three industrial buildings and is expected to generate between 1,500 and 2,000 direct jobs. Strategically located near Tijuana International Airport and the future Otay II border crossing, the park aims to attract industries seeking logistical efficiency, enhancing the flow of goods to the United States.
With its focus on binational connectivity, the project’s investors foresee Frasa Otay Industrial Park becoming a critical hub for trade and exports.
Pedro Alejandro Montejo Peterson, head of Tijuana’s Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDETI), emphasized the confidence investors have in Tijuana, citing the city’s legal certainty and commitment to fostering growth.
"I want to congratulate you for continuing to believe in Tijuana. This collaboration allows us to keep advancing. Today, there is coordination among the three levels of government, and we must take full advantage of it," said Montejo.
He added that the municipal government, alongside state and federal authorities, remains committed to advancing infrastructure, modernization, and urban mobility—key elements for keeping Tijuana competitive as an investment destination.
