As the final details are being fine-tuned to allow the crossing of empty units over the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge, David Moreno, Mayor of Donna, Texas, met with Mexican authorities. The aim was to promote binational coordination to ensure a swift and efficient crossing for industries, the commercial sector, and production between Mexico and the United States.

Participating in the meeting were Carlos Yerena, City Manager of Donna, Mauro Natividad Rocha Rojo, Director of Infrastructure for the Government of Tamaulipas, Felipe Martínez Roque, Deputy Director of Customs in Reynosa, Arturo de las Fuentes Hernández, Coordinator of binational projects for the company Crosses and International Bridges. Also present was Francisco Calvario García, Deputy Director of Bridges and International Crossings at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT).

The meeting took place in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, near the international bridge, right at the customs module.

The crossing of empty units at the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge is part of the first stage of an expansion model, in which $100 million will be invested. The expansion of this border crossing will represent a new competitive advantage in commercial processes, with up to 10 inspection lanes, an X-ray module, and a control tower for Customs and Border Protection personnel.
