CEED advises families financially affected by Covid-19

With the intention of supporting the citizens of Mission, Texas, who continue to fall behind on their rent, mortgage or utility payments due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Center for Education and Economic Development (CEED) held an open exercise to provide advice to families.
The relief effort was directed to all Mission residents who have faced adversity, through the promotion of government programs such as the Texas Homeowners Assistance Fund , which began in March 2022 with funds of more than 600 million of dollars and whose amount still has items available.
Among the requirements to apply for this program are bank account statements, recent tax reports, proof of financial hardship, late service services, rental contracts or, where appropriate, mortgage or eviction notices, as well as SS benefit letters. , SSI, SNAP or others and employment check stubs.
CEED promoted counseling as an effective tool to resolve financial conflicts that arose from the impact of Covid-19 .
The assistance program indicates that homeowners can receive up to a total of $65,000 in grants.
Other requirements are the social number cards of all family members, identifications, birth certificates, passports or permanent residence cards.
The event was attended by the government of the city of Mission, Texas, and the community organization Affordable Homes of South Texas , which promotes an improvement in the quality of life for families through affordable housing.
