The Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP) has revealed plans for the development of 50 new industrial parks, slated to commence operations between 2024 and 2025.

Over the next two years, these parks are expected to become operational in the northern, Bajío, and central regions of Mexico, with a total investment of $3 billion.

8 Million Square Meters

Claudia Estevez, the CEO of AMPIP, shared this information during her participation in the panel "Nearshoring: Maximizing Business Potential in Mexico" at the XXIX Mexican Foreign Trade Congress (COMCE).

The influx of foreign investment and companies due to nearshoring is anticipated to create a demand for up to 8 million square meters by 2027, as stated by Claudia Estevez.

Record Figures

"We have record figures of 3.5 million square meters in the first three quarters of 2023. There has been growth in inventory, and at this moment, we have identified 50 new industrial parks across the country, especially in the northern, Bajío, western, and central zones," she informed.

The director shared this information during the Mexican Foreign Trade Congress (COMCE) and emphasized the urgent need to invest in energy infrastructure to support the distribution of power to the new industrial parks and stimulate further investment.
